Clayton Audio™ is the trading title of Michael Clayton, Jr.
Michael is a location Sound Recordist with 4 years experience in the film and media industry. Possessing a broad range of skills recording for feature film/short film productions, corporate, promotional, documentary, online content and commercial projects.
His technical knowledge and extensive experience working in the sound department combined with a professional attitude and friendly persona, means he is a valuable asset to any production requiring sound. He is always willing to collaborate and come on board new projects in order to expand his client list. He is also able to travel anywhere, holding a clean UK driving license and UK Passport, with bases in Essex, London and France (South West).
He received his BA (Hons) in Film and Media Production in 2012 from Sheffield Hallam University specialising in Sound. After receiving his MSc in Advanced Multimedia Design and 3D Technologies in 2015 from Brunel University, he has incorporated this research into his work within the sound department on various projects. This in depth knowledge has allowed him to have both an experienced understanding of not only all areas of sound recording and mixing, but the requirements of other technical departments in order to capture the highest quality audio without compromise.
His work on narrative short films and feature films has been exhibited at various film festivals in the UK, and internationally including the London film festival, Raindance Film Festival, Los Angeles Film Festival, Aesthetica Film Festival, Pan African Film Festival and British Urban Film Festival amongst many others.
He has worked for clients that include Royal Shakespeare Company, Sadlers Wells, Peugeot, NHS, Greenpeace and more.
His main focus on any production is capturing the highest quality audio in order to deliver the most clean, dynamic and efficient sound workflow for post-production.
